Debut of Play Day on the Riverway at the Rundel Memorial Library

WHAT
Downtown Definitely Play Day on the Riverway – a part of the 2nd Annual Downtown Definitely Events Series – is this Saturday afternoon. Play Day on the Riverway is a new free event that takes place indoors and outdoors from the Rundel Memorial Library to the ROC City Skatepark and the Rundel Library North Terrace, overlooking the Genesee River. It will feature a variety of family-friendly activities including a scavenger hunt, walking tour, storytelling, live music and food and drinks to purchase.

The 2023 Downtown Definitely Events series is sponsored by RG&E, Buckingham Properties, Gallina Development, VIDA, SWBR and Renewal by Andersen. Two of the events, RPO Under the Stars and Fall Fest are co-produced with the City of Rochester.

Play Day on the Riverway is part of the second annual Downtown Definitely Events series of 15 free downtown Rochester events. All events are free to attend, including Midday Bash, four Movies with a Downtown View, an RPO Under the Stars concert, and Fall Fest, all of which will take place at Parcel 5.

Downtown Definitely Events are produced for RDDC by Rochester’s Bella Events Group.

These are exciting events that turn the dial up in downtown Rochester. Riding that excitement, staff will be set up at each event to share and talk with the community about the effort for a potential Business Improvement District in downtown Rochester. At each Downtown Definitely event, staff will listen and learn about what the community wants, and how to work together to imagine an even more vibrant downtown Rochester. GETTING TO THE EVENT

Parking adjacent to the Rundel Memorial Library North Terrace is available at both on-street metered spots and at surrounding off-street parking garages. Parking is free at all meters during the weekends. Convenient parking is in the

Court Street Garage, which is adjacent to the Bausch & Lomb Public Library Building at 194 Court St. or the South Avenue Garage located at 39 Stone St. The first 2 hours of parking in a city-owned garage is $2.00 total, with each additional hour (or any part of) being $2.00 per hour up to the daily maximum of $10.00.
