Gallina Development Corporation has started to transform the former Xerox Tower into “Innovation Square”. The vision is to create a collaborative campus in the heart of downtown Rochester, in which students from multiple colleges, universities, and institutions can live, learn and innovate in an urban environment. It will be an urban campus for multiple schools, including the University of Rochester, RIT, Nazareth, St. John Fisher, and SUNY Brockport.
This full block project will create a new, shared campus with 15 floors of student housing, 10 floors of office space, and many amenities including a 700-seat auditorium, fitness center, community commons, coffee house and restaurant, classroom spaces, and joint entrepreneurial programming.
Five floors of student apartments will be available by the fall of 2021, and ten more floors by the fall of 2022.
