Photos by Allison McDonald<\/em><\/p>\n Join us for a memorable night of music under the open skies with the full Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra<\/a>. The City of Rochester’s RPO Under the Stars is a free outdoor concert produced in collaboration with Downtown Definitely Events.<\/p>\n No tickets are required. Bring a blanket and chairs. Grounds open at 5:30 p.m. with food and drinks available for purchase.<\/p>\n RPO Under the Stars is presented by the City of Rochester in partnership with\u00a0Downtown Definitely, a new series of free events and activities produced by the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation (RDDC) to bring the community together and shine the light on downtown with great new experiences.<\/p>\n No pets, alcohol, or bicycles are allowed at Parcel 5 during the event. If attendees bring a bicycle they are encouraged to lock it up outside the event grounds. For the safety and security of all, all bags, purses, backpacks, lawn chairs, etc will be searched upon entry. Individuals 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or an adult 25 years or older. An adult will only be allowed to accompany up to two unrelated youth. Valid photo ID is required. Adults must accompany minors at all times.<\/p>\n The\u00a0Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra<\/a> (RPO) has been committed toenriching and inspiring our community through the art of music since its origins in 1922. The RPO presents approximately 150 concerts and broadcasts a year, serving up to 170,000 people through ticketed events, education and community engagement activities, and concerts in schools and community centers throughout the region. Music Director Andreas Delfs joins the ranks of former notable RPO music directors, including Erich Leinsdorf, David Zinman, Mark Elder, and Conductor Laureate Christopher Seaman.\u00a0The RPO reaches more than 15,000 youth through its specific education programs.<\/p>\n RPO Under the Stars does not operate any parking but there are many surface lots and ramp parking garages conveniently located near the event. Metered on-street parking is free after 6 p.m. Please read the signs and only park in legal spots. Midtown Garage<\/a> off of Clinton and Broad St has a 6 ft. clearance and the entrance is directly across the street from Tower 280. Rates are $2 for the first 2 hours and an additional $2 for each hour or a fraction of an hour after that.
