Co-produced with the City of Rochester, join us for a memorable night of music under the open skies with the full Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO). The City of Rochester’s RPO Under the Stars is a free outdoor concert produced in collaboration with Downtown Definitely Events. The RPO performance will feature music from film classics, including thrillers, romance, action, comedy, and outer space, conducted by Jherrard Hardeman.

No tickets are required. Bring a blanket and chairs. Grounds open at 6:00 p.m. with food and drinks available for purchase.

About the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra

The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) has been committed toenriching and inspiring our community through the art of music since its origins in 1922. The RPO presents approximately 150 concerts and broadcasts a year, serving up to 170,000 people through ticketed events, education and community engagement activities, and concerts in schools and community centers throughout the region. Music Director Andreas Delfs joins the ranks of former notable RPO music directors, including Erich Leinsdorf, David Zinman, Mark Elder, and Conductor Laureate Christopher Seaman. The RPO reaches more than 15,000 youth through its specific education programs.

PARKING

RPO Under the Stars does not operate any parking but there are many surface lots and ramp parking garages conveniently located near the event. Metered on-street parking is free after 6 p.m. Please read the signs and only park in legal spots. Midtown Garage off of Clinton and Broad St has a 6 ft. clearance and the entrance is directly across the street from Tower 280. Rates are $2 for the first 2 hours and an additional $2 for each hour or a fraction of an hour after that. From the Midtown Garage, an exit stairwell leads straight to Parcel 5 on Andrew Langston Way.
