rpo under the stars

Friday, July 11

Co-produced with the City of Rochester, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra returns to the great outdoors for a powerful performance under the open sky.

Conducted by Jherrard Hardeman, the evening’s program β€” Music from Stage & Screen β€” is a sweeping celebration of iconic American music featured in beloved films and musicals. Enjoy timeless selections from The Sound of Music, John Williams’ reflective Lincoln: With Malice Toward None, and his soaring themes from E.T. and Across the Stars. The night concludes with Omar Thomas’s Come Sunday, a moving, jazz-infused tribute that uplifts and inspires.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for a comfortable listening experience.
