About the Downtown Definitely Events Series
Get ready for another unforgettable summer in downtown Rochester. The 5th Annual Downtown Definitely Events series returns June through September with 15 FREE events filled with live entertainment, outdoor movies, yoga with goats, food trucks, games, family activities, and more.
This year’s lineup features the return of community favorites like Midday Bash, Movies With a Downtown View, Yoga on the Riverway, RPO Under the Stars, and MVP Fall Fest, along with the debut of a brand-new experience, Game Night on the Riverway at Austin Steward Plaza.
From lunchtime gatherings and movie nights under the stars to riverside wellness events and family-friendly festivals, Downtown Definitely brings the community together all summer long in the heart of downtown Rochester.

Downtown Definitely Events is a series of free events and activities founded in 2022 and produced by the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation (RDDC). Downtown Definitely Events take place in downtown Rochester from June through September and include food, festivals, music, movies, and more, shining the light on downtown to create great new experiences and help bring the community together again.
Downtown Definitely is a joint initiative of NYS Empire State Development, Greater ROC and OneROC, Rochester Downtown Development Corporation, Partnership for Downtown Rochester, and the City of Rochester. Their shared mission is to grow economic vitality in Downtown Rochester by bringing the community together and improving its street-level and riverfront experience.

We’re now accepting vendor applications for the 2026 season.
This opportunity is open to retailers and community organizations, including nonprofits, to showcase their work, promote services, or engage with attendees
All events are outdoors, and vendors must provide their own 10-by-10-foot tent, tables, and chairs. Participation is free, but space is limited.
